You can easily create a Medicare.gov account online once you are enrolled in Medicare and have received your red, white, and blue Medicare card. 

Before starting, locate your Medicare card, as you will need exact details from it to verify your identity. 

1.Go to the Account Creation Page:   Official portal link.  Navigate to Medicare.gov/account/login and click the Create Account button.   (Note: You can also choose to log in using existing secure credentials like ID.me, Login.gov, or CLEAR if you already use them for Social Security or VA services.)  

2.Enter Your Identity Information: Must match your Medicare card exactly.

Provide the required verification details:

• Medicare Number (the 11-character alphanumeric code on your card)
• Last Name
• Date of Birth
• ZIP Code
• Part A or Part B Effective Date (month and year printed on your card)

3.Create Login Credentials: Username and password setup.

• Pick a unique username     (8–30 characters).
• Create a strong password  (at least 8 characters including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and a symbol).
• Provide your email address  and phone number to enable two-factor verification and account recovery.

4.Complete Two-Factor Authentication: Required for account security.

Select your preferred method (SMS text message, phone call, or email) to receive a one-time security code. Enter the code on screen to finalize and activate your account.

Once logged in, your dashboard allows you to view claims, print official replacement cards, track preventive services, and save your prescription drugs to compare plan options during enrollment periods.
